Alex Rofman is SNOCAP's Vice President of Business Development. He joined SNOCAP in June 2003, as the company's second employee. As VP of Business Development, Alex is responsible for negotiating and managing SNOCAP's relationships with rightsholders, online retailers and other key strategic partners. He led the negotiations of SNOCAP's landmark alliance with MySpace that enables artists to sell their music from their MySpace pages or anywhere on the Internet they can post html. Prior to joining SNOCAP, Alex led the Compliance and Media Operations Department at the original Napster, managing the company's systems to prevent the transfer of unauthorized content. Before discovering his passion for digital music, Alex worked in Corporate Development for IGN Entertainment, a video game, film and general entertainment portal recently acquired by Fox Interactive Media. At IGN, Alex ran the company's M&A, negotiating and closing acquisitions that accounted for a 20% increase in the company's customer base. Alex received his MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and his B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University.
