Porcupine Media

Dev Sherlock founded Porcupine Media in late 2006. Home to the Porcupine Radio Network, they produce original content for radio and web, including "Blog Fresh".

His career encompasses 20 years in music journalism and radio. His writing has appeared in publications on both sides of the Atlantic (including Rolling Stone, Q, Musician, Time-Out, NME, The Word, Details, Launch, Select, Billboard, Guitar Player, and Surfer), and earned him recognition as the first American journalist to interview such UK artists as Blur, Oasis, Fatboy Slim and... the Spice Girls.

In the 1990s, he served as an editor at Musician Magazine, delivering in-depth interviews with everyone from Leonard Cohen and Joe Strummer to Bjork. He is also a contributor to The Rolling Stone Album Guide.

Dev spent three years running his student station during the fertile 1980s heyday of college radio. But it was a decade later that he resumed a broadcast career, holding positions as a Senior Producer and Talent Relations head for multiple syndicated radio networks (including MJI, where he created the Satellite Tour Division, and Premiere/Clear Channel, where he developed new services for commercial radio). During that time he also produced live broadcasts with hundreds of artists, including Radiohead, Jay-Z, Metallica, Paul McCartney, REM, Vince Gill, Mariah Carey, CSN, and the Beastie Boys.

Dev is an evangelist for music & mp3 blogs as the future of new music discovery. Among Porcupine's programming is the cutting-edge "Blog Fresh" radio show, podcast and website, which showcases a revolving panel of bloggers highlighting their latest music picks.
