Gerry Gerrard
Founder
Chaotica, Inc.

For more than two decades British-born Gerry Gerrard has been a major presence on the US music scene, and is renowned throughout the international industry as something of a visionary. An early champion of electronic music, he has been instrumental in bringing UK and European talent to North America and has represented some of the biggest names of the past ten years. In 1980 he opened the 200 capacity Savoy Tivoli in San Francisco, where he booked everything from punk rock, reggae and pop to a series of Avant Garde Thursday performances from the likes of Cabaret Voltaire and even a spoken word event with Whoopi Goldberg. During the 80's Gerry refined his craft as a promoter working with acts such as New Order, PIL and Depeche Mode. He formed Chaos Management in 1990 and signed Nine Inch Nails, joined Ian Copeland's FBI Agency, where they took US by storm on the first Lollapalooza tour. In 1992, Gerry joined forces with Guns & Roses and Paul Mc Cartney's agent Alex Kochan to form the Artists & Audience Agency, where he booked a 150 date Nine Inch Nails tour that included a performance at Woodstock 94, which he believes was responsible (more than any other single factor) for The Downward Spiral album sales skyrocketing from 250,000 to four million. In '96 Gerry left A & A to form Chaotica, Inc. talent agency. His roster included the relatively unknown Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and Underworld---dance-orientated bands that went on to dominate the first four years of Coachella and become major headline acts. Having branched into the DJ arena, Chaotica is stronger now than ever, representing the "world's most famous DJ"" Paul Oakenfold, along with homegrown artists such as the legendary Roger Sanchez, Sandra Collins and "next big thing" Gabriel & Dresden.
