I came to XL Recordings in December of 2005 as their head of the US office. Prior to that, I ran the North American office of Domino Records for almost 4 years - taking it from a solitary desk in my East Village bedroom to their current proper office space (with staff of 10!) in Brooklyn. In 1989 at the age of 17, my fantasy was to either work for Rough Trade, 4AD or Def Jam. XL is somewhere between all three so I'd say I've finally arrived...
